The Tupolev TU-104 became the most dangerous Soviet passenger aircraft in history. Out of 201 produced, 37 were lost in air crashes. 1,137 people were killed.

Originally built as a military jet aircraft, its production was stopped already in 1960 after only 5 years. Still, it was used for civil transportation for almost 20 years, with many disasters and incidents.

The planes were then used again by the military, leading to even more crashes. In 1981, after a final severe incident, all remaining TU-104s were grounded.

This specific portrayed Tupolev was delivered to the Czechoslovak Airlines more than 60 years ago and in service on routes including Moscow, London, Budapest, Copenhagen, Beijing, Brussels, Ottawa, Delhi and Prague.
