Marlfield House
Like Abandoned & Forgotten
Marlfield House, Tipperary is currently on the market for €950k and will be sold by public auction in August.
The house extends to 15,000 sq.ft. sitting on grounds of nearly 13.5 acres.
Built by Colonel John Bagwell MP in 1785 in the Palladian style. It remained the seat of the Bagwell family of Clonmel in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The central part of the house was burnt in 1923 and rebuilt in 1925.
This meant changes were made to the appearance of the house which included a flat roof and the loss of the fanlight over the front door.
