Castle in Hungary – Read Story

Holloko Castle in Hungary was first mentioned in the 14th century but it was built even earlier.

Around the time the Tatars invaded Europe. An old legend says that once the castle’s lord abducted a pretty girl from a village nearby.

The castle was being built at the time and he locked her in one of the castle’s chambers under construction.

But the girl’s nanny was a witch. She made an agreement with the devil, who ordered his sons turn into ravens.

Every night they would come to the castle and steal the stones.

The strategy worked out well and the lord let the girl go.
